* The New England Patriots were eliminated from the 2010 NFL playoffs on Sunday, as the New York Jets walked all over them at Gillette Stadium.

* New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan loves to talk, but after Sunday’s win against the Patriots, he just continued to go on and on some more.

* After what was considered a great weekend in the NFL, still, the labor agreements for a 2011 season continues to hang in the balance, but could they get a deal done before the Super Bowl?

* The Chicago Bears are on their way to another NFC Championship game, but this time it is against the Green Bay Packers.

* There has still been no official word on whether Carmelo Anthony will be headed to the New Jersey Nets this season.

* Is this report true? Did the Patriots really try to trip the New York Jets during week 2 of the NFL season?

* St. Louis Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols and his contract are becoming a big topic with the organization.

We are closing in on the end to another intriguing, yet interesting work week and a brand new weekend, so lets kick things off with the Daily Noontime for Friday January 14, 2011, have an awesome and fantastic weekend!


* Auburn University quarterback Cam Newton has declared for the NFL draft, but was this a good move? You decide!

* So apparently the NFL is being scored for not having welcoming home field fans throughout the 2010 NFL playoffs, yet, is that a problem?

* Former Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox has found a new home in Denver, Colorado and will be coaching the Broncos in 2011.

* Rafael Soriano has reached a quality deal with the New York Yankees and will certainly help provide a boost for their bullpen during the upcoming season.

* Boston Celtics forward Jermaine O’Neal could be headed toward having surgery due to chronic knee pain.

* Could the New York Knicks possibly land Carmelo Anthony for the remainder of their season? Certainly seems likely.

* Rafael Nadal may have a tough time winning the Australian Open this year, especially since he will play Marcos Daniel first.
