NS LAX TOP 10 POLL

By NoontimeSports.com (@NoontimeSports)

It’s Monday, which means it is time for a brand new New England D3 Men’s Lacrosse Top 10 Poll.

Amherst College secured the top spot in this week’s poll, thanks to an important New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) win over Tufts University this past weekend. As of now, the Mammoths appear to be the top team in the conference with just a few weeks remaining, but do have a pair of important league tilts still left to be played against Bates College and Trinity College.

Middlebury College dropped one spot from a week ago, checking-in third overall following an important win over fourth-ranked Trinity. The Panthers will look to continue their momentum later this week when they travel to Medford, Massachusetts to face Tufts in a VERY important conference clash.

In addition to facing Tufts this upcoming weekend, they will also host Hamilton College on Sunday, April 22nd (the game was rescheduled due to weather).

NS LAX TOP 10 POLL

By NoontimeSports.com (@NoontimeSports)

It’s Monday, which means it is time for a brand new New England D3 Women’s Lacrosse Top 10 Poll.

Tufts University secured the top spot this week by winning its sixth-straight New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) contest last Saturday over Wesleyan University.

As of now, the Jumbos appear to be the front-runner in the conference, but they will face some challenges down the stretch, including Amherst College and Middlebury College.

The Panthers, who occupied the top spot in our weekly poll for the past few weeks, fell to the second position due to a recent setback to Colby College. The Mules returned to our poll after not appearing in the Top 10 one week ago.

Trinity College and Wesleyan rounded out the top five positions, while the Mules checked-in sixth overall with a 6-4 overall ledger. Similar to Tufts, the Blue and White (Colby) will face some challenging tests down the stretch, including an important match-up against Trinity in two weeks.
